  • Certificates or completion badges (“Certifications”).

By purchasing or accessing these:

  1. License to access

    • You receive a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to access the purchased materials for your own use, subject to these Terms.

  2. No professional or legal license

    • Certifications issued by Horse Education Online are educational credentials only.

    • They do not grant a professional license or legal authority to practice veterinary medicine, farriery, or any regulated profession.

    • We do not guarantee that any employer, association, or licensing body will recognize any Certification.

  3. No guarantee of outcomes

    • We do not guarantee exam results, job placement, income, or performance improvements as a result of our courses, study materials, or Certifications.

  4. Access period

    • Access duration may vary by product (for example, lifetime access, term-based access, or membership-period access). The specific access period will be described on the product or checkout page.

8. Digital Products and Study Materials

We offer digital products such as PDFs, eBooks, study guides, flashcards (digital versions), checklists, downloads, and other files (“Digital Products”).

  • License: When you purchase a Digital Product, you are purchasing a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use the file for your own education and reference. You are not purchasing ownership of the content.

  • Prohibited uses: You may not:

    • Share, upload, resell, or distribute Digital Products to others;

    • Post them publicly, including on websites, social media, or file-sharing platforms; or

    • Claim ownership, authorship, or create derivative works for commercial sale without our written consent.

  • All sales final: Unless otherwise stated, all Digital Product sales are final and non-refundable, due to the nature of digital downloads, except where required by law or where we determine a refund is appropriate (for example, technical issues we cannot resolve).

9. Physical Products

We may sell physical products such as printed study guides, posters, stall cards, laminated charts, binders, and “barn-ready kits” (collectively, “Physical Products”).

  1. Use at your own risk

    • Physical Products are educational aids only. They are not a substitute for professional training, supervision, or veterinary care.

    • You are responsible for installing, storing, and using them safely, particularly around horses and children.

  2. Condition and safety

    • Inspect products upon delivery. Do not use any product that appears damaged or unsafe.

    • Follow all instructions and warnings included with the product.

  3. Returns & exchanges

    • Our return and exchange policy (if any) will be described on the product page or at checkout. Generally:

      • Unused, unopened items may be eligible for return or exchange within a specified period (for example, 14–30 days) from delivery, at your expense, unless the item was defective or damaged in transit.

      • Custom, personalized, or heavily discounted items may be non-returnable.

    • You are responsible for return shipping unless the product arrived damaged or we made an error.

  4. Risk of loss

    • Risk of loss and title for Physical Products transfer to you upon delivery by the carrier to the address you provided.

10. Barn-Ready Kits, Checklists, and Digital Resources

10.1 Nature and Purpose
Our barn-ready kits may include a mix of physical items (such as laminated charts, posters, binders, stall cards, or printed materials) and digital resources (such as PDFs, checklists, templates, and reference guides) (collectively, the “Barn-Ready Kits”). All Barn-Ready Kits are designed as educational aids and organizational tools only and are not a substitute for professional training, veterinary care, or emergency services.

10.2 No Veterinary, Medical, or Safety Guarantee
Barn-Ready Kits are intended to help you organize information, track care, and communicate clearly in the barn. They do not:

  • Diagnose or treat any condition in horses or humans;

  • Guarantee compliance with local, state, or national barn, boarding, or workplace safety regulations; or

  • Replace professional judgment from a veterinarian, farrier, trainer, or safety officer.

You are solely responsible for how the information is used, updated, and implemented in your barn.

10.3 Digital Barn-Ready Kits (Printables and Downloads)
For digital versions (including PDFs, printables, and downloadable templates):

  • You receive a personal, non-transferable license to download, print, and use them for your own barn, business, or household, subject to these Terms.

  • You may not resell, redistribute, upload, or share the files or printed copies for commercial purposes without our written consent.

  • Because digital files are delivered immediately, all digital Barn-Ready Kit sales are generally final and non-refundable, except where required by law or in limited cases we determine appropriate (for example, duplicate purchase or technical download errors we cannot resolve).

10.4 Physical Barn-Ready Kits (Printed and Shipped Items)
For physical barn-ready kits that we print, assemble, or ship:

  • Inspect all items on arrival. Do not use any product that appears damaged, illegible, or unsafe.

  • You are responsible for installing and storing materials safely (for example, keeping laminated cards away from chewing, sharp edges, or entanglement risks around horses and children).

  • If a product arrives damaged or incorrect, you must contact us within a reasonable period (as stated on the Website) so we can review and, where appropriate, repair, replace, or refund according to our then-current policy.

  • Unless otherwise stated, custom or personalized printed items may be non-refundable except in cases of error on our part or where required by law.

10.5 Assumption of Risk in Barn Use
By using any Barn-Ready Kit, you understand and agree that:

  • You are working in an inherently risky environment (horses, equipment, vehicles, chemicals, etc.);

  • You are responsible for ensuring that any information displayed remains accurate, updated, and clearly visible to the people who need it;

  • You will implement appropriate safety protocols, supervision, and professional guidance; and

  • Horse Education Online is not responsible for injuries, accidents, property damage, or regulatory issues arising from how you choose to set up, install, or rely on Barn-Ready Kits in your facility.

11. Subscriptions and Auto-Renewals

Certain memberships, courses, or services may be offered as subscriptions.

  • Auto-renewal: If your subscription is set to auto-renew, it will renew at the end of each billing period at the then-current rate unless you cancel before the renewal date.

  • Cancellation: You may cancel future renewals at any time through your account (or by contacting us as specified on the Website). Cancellation stops future charges but does not automatically result in a refund of past charges unless required by law or specifically stated.

  • Changes: We may change subscription prices or features; we will provide notice where required by law.

12. Refunds and Cancellations

Our general policies are:

  • Digital Products: Non-refundable, except in limited cases such as duplicate purchase, technical issues we cannot resolve, or where required by law.

  • Physical Products: Refunds or exchanges may be offered according to the policy posted on the Website at the time of purchase.

  • Courses/Memberships: Refunds may be limited and will be described on the relevant product or checkout page.

Any specific refund or cancellation policy stated on a product page or during checkout overrides this general section.

13. Intellectual Property

All Content and materials on the Website—including text, images, graphics, videos, logos, icons, PDFs, design layouts, and tools—are the intellectual property of Horse Education Online or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

Except as expressly allowed in these Terms or as otherwise permitted in writing:

  • You may not copy, reproduce, modify, adapt, translate, distribute, publish, display, perform, or create derivative works from any Content;

16. Online Tools & Calculators

We offer tools and calculators (for example, gestation calculators, coat color calculators, deworming planners, vital sign reference tools, and similar utilities).

You understand and agree that:

  • These tools are educational aids only, based on general reference ranges and assumptions;

  • They do not provide a diagnosis, treatment plan, or individualized professional advice;

  • They may not factor in all variables relevant to your specific horse or situation;

  • You must verify any important information with a licensed veterinarian or other appropriate professional before acting on it.

We do not guarantee that any tool or calculator is error-free, up-to-date, or suitable for your particular needs.
